Patrick O'Brien, Cyd Peroni, Lois Roma-Deeley, and Rosemarie Dombrowski worked together and individually for over18 months to produce this body of photographs and poems known collectively as Geology of Spirit. Most poems were created in response to images. Toward the end of the writing phase, photographers had the opportunity to create images in response to the poems.
The artists collaborated on the initial theme of exploring the connections between the human spirit and nature's forms and processes. What they discovered were stories of decay, rebirth and the transience of time.
Fourteen groupings make up the whole. Each grouping may be viewed as a singular piece of art that contains one poem and a series of photographs.
